My family and I first met Father Frank when he was the Parish Priest at St. Edwardβs Parish in Duncan, B.C. Father Frank was warm and welcoming to all parishioners and visitors and inspired all of us with his faith, warmth and humour. It was a joy to watch Father Frank interact with the students at Queen of Angels, the school adjoining the Church. On one occasion my husband was teaching the Grade 6 class about astronomy and the use of telescopes. The students laughed with hilarity when they peered through the telescope to find a postage stamp picture of Father Frank on a tree trunk 100 metres away. We were lucky enough to stay in touch with Father Frank and we were so grateful he blessed my mom and was the officiant at her funeral. Our most sincere condolences to his family, and his sister Ardene whom we know from St. Patrickβs Parish. We hope that his family is comforted knowing that Father Frank profoundly impacted our lives here in British Columbia. - Posted by: Jennifer Merryfield (Parishioner/Friend) on: Jan 01, 2026

Our deepest condolences to the Franz and extended family for the loss of Fr. Frank. We had the extreme pleasure and privilege of having Fr. Frank as a neighbour for a short period of time. During that time we got to know him on a personal level. We shared many laughs and heartwarming stories. His jovial laughter will forever be remembered. God has a very special place in Heaven for Fr. Frank. Sending prayers and blessings to his family. - Posted by: Pam and Lou Sanche (Friend) on: Dec 13, 2025
